Joy

Having backyard chickens has taught me so many lessons, especially about joy. Chickens approach every single day with enthusiasm. When the sun is up they are ready to run into the morning full steam ahead. They see every day for what it is, a blank canvas just waiting to be colored with happiness. Watching them carry on their day to day activities I’m instantly transported and enamored by their playfulness and curiosity. They have improved the quality of my life immensely not just with their amazing eggs and pest control, but with their effortless charms. They never fail to bring me a smile no matter how distracted or preoccupied I am. Watching them, all the worries of the world melt away and all that is left is joy.
